Senior Pastor Justin Long

Justin grew up in a small town in Missouri. Although he attended church all through childhood and called himself a Christian, he didn’t truly give God control of his life until 2000. Since then it has been an amazing adventure.

Justin earned his MA of Biblical Studies from Trinity Western University.  He holds a BA of Biblical Studies and Linguistics, also from TWU, and attended YWAM Discipleship Training School and School of Evangelism.  He’s been to eight different countries on four continents. He served at BCF as youth pastor for several years before becoming Senior Pastor in 2015.

Pastor Justin says he would love to see BCF become a community of people who are engaged with God in a way that meaningfully impacts their lives, positively affects the community, and spreads the worship of God throughout the world.

Justin and his wife, Ann are the parents of four children.

Associate Pastor Jared Haechton

Jared and Stacy Haechton joined Blaine Christian Fellowship in 2004 after moving to Blaine for Jared to pursue a degree at ACTS Seminary at Trinity Western University, just over the border in Langley, B.C. They forged deep relationships at BCF, ministering to the church as youth leaders and members of the eldership team. They raised their young family in Blaine as they prepared for the mission field.

Since 2012, the Haechtons have been with OMF International to share the gospel in the Northeast Region of Thailand with the Isaan people. They have lived and ministered in Kalasin Province as well as in Udon Thani Province.  The Haechtons feel privileged that God has given them to be involved in His purpose of drawing the unreached to Himself through a relationship with Jesus Christ!  They are excited and humbled to be part of a movement that brings the gospel of Jesus Christ to meet the vast spiritual and physical needs of the people of Thailand.

Jared enjoys running in the early mornings, and Stacy and Jared, together with their five children, enjoy participating in community events and sports.

After serving in various roles in a previous church and being a member of a gospel bluegrass band, he and his wife Nancy joined BCF in 1989. Dan was called to Eldership at BCF in 1994. After 38 years of working in the oil refinery industry in various roles, he retired in 2009. Then he joined the Peace Arch Christian Ministerial Association representing Blaine Christian Fellowship. Since then he has served with the Community Assistance Program (CAP) with 13 years as Board President. He is also associated with a North County Chaplain fellowship.

Dan and Nancy have been married 55 years and have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. He enjoys helping people grow in their faith, calling and service. He also shares his spiritual insights and encouragement in his blog.

Jeff Henry

Jeff and his wife, Anika, met at Seattle Bible College where they both graduated with Bachelors degrees in Biblical Studies with majors in Ministry. Jeff has served in many ministry capacities including worship leader, assistant pastor, interim and children’s pastor. He was blessed with a faithful mother who raised him in church, and he came to faith in Christ at age seven. From childhood, He had a strong sense of calling towards ministry. He now serves as an elder and a worship leader at BCF.

Jeff works as a package delivery driver and enjoys doing projects around the homestead, playing music, running, looking at his cows and drinking coffee. They have a couple cows, chickens, rabbits and a cat. Anika holds down the fort and homeschools their children, while Jeff works long hours.

Matt & Davene Figley

Matt and Davene have been part of the BCF family since moving to the Blaine area in 2005. When they first arrived, they had no children. Today, they are blessed with four. Over the years, they have faithfully served in many areas of the church, including Sunday school, home groups, the financial directors board, and various community outreach events. They have served as elders since 2022.

Matt works as a paraeducator in the Ferndale School District, where he has spent many years supporting students with a wide range of special needs. Davene currently homeschools their four children, who are now in their middle school and high school years. She also creates helpful videos and educational materials to help homeschooling parents, through her YouTube channel.
